Bombay to Poona Train

According to a post by @SiddharthKG7 about an ad from 1904, there was a train between Bombay and Pune that had 3 stops and took 3 hours to reach Pune. The travel time with today's trains remains largely unchanged.

During the British Raj, the garrison town of Pune (formerly Poona/Poonah) was a popular destination for the British.

An earlier form of Badminton was so popular among the British expatriates that the game itself was known as Poona or Poonah. It was here that the first rules for Badminton were drawn up in 1873.
