Kalvakuntla Kavitha

Kalvakuntla Kavitha (born 1978) is an Indian politician and daughter of K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the first Chief Minister of Telangana. 

She served as Member of Parliament for Nizamabad from 2014 to 2019 and has been a Member of the Telangana Legislative Council since 2020.

She earned a B.Tech in Computer Science from VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology and a Master's in Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi, later working as a software engineer in the USA before returning to India in 2006. After returning to India, Kalvakuntla Kavitha started and owned a chain of beauty parlours. 

Her declared assets increased from ~6 Crore+ in 2014 to ~27 Crore+ by 2022.

In March 2024, she was arrested by the ED in connection with the Delhi liquor scam. She was released on bail in August 2024.

She was suspended from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi in September 2025 for alleged anti-party activities. She had criticised her cousin and former Minister, Harish Rao amid the Ghose report on irregularities in the Kaleshwaram irrigation project and a CBI investigation directive.
